About the project
BHM is the confederation of university graduates. Its members are employed in various capacities across central government institutions, in local government, and in the broader labor market. BHM emphasizes the importance of innovation, professional knowledge, and education.
Hugsmiðjan and BHM have collaborated successfully for over a decade. The new website of BHM updates its content presentation, setting the focus on its members and their rights.
Writing for the web and content creation

In collaboration with a content editor at BHM, we experimented and worked on specific sections of the website until we had examples of typical content types to rely on. Part of the process also involved deciding how to handle certain texts, such as those related to legal issues in labor law, which are lengthy and may not be particularly engaging for the average reader.

Discovery with design thinking
Approach
BHM had recently undergone rebranding with the advertising agency Kontor, and as a result, we received a fresh color palette and a new logo which were exciting to work with. However, a visual identity consists of more elements, including photography. We decided to capture the atmosphere of the new website with comprehensive photography sessions.
Content
Extensive content and multiple topics
In the content creation for the new website, we adopted a somewhat different tone than before and tried to avoid direct copies from the old site, while ensuring that important information was not lost. The design of the new website includes a different structure for the content, for example, by preventing the navigation structure from becoming very deep.
We are thrilled with the outcome

It was a large project to redesign the BHM website from scratch. The goal was to present complex content in the simplest way possible, making the website much more accessible, personal, smarter, and lighter than before. Hugsmiðjan was involved in all aspects of this work with us, from shaping the focus to assisting with text writing and taking photos for the website. The visual aspect is very important, and good design, images, and clear text play a key role in capturing the user's attention and guiding them forward. Everything turned out exceptionally well, and we are thrilled with the outcome.
